HISTORY A moved reading first took place before the locals of Rosa Brook, with the playwright and his wife playing the part of the dairy farmers, Stan and Marjory, in August of 2007. Encouraged by the audience’s favorable response Ross cast local amateur actors including his son, Will and fiancée Ellie Ward. The comedy enjoyed a two week season at Vat 107 Restaurant in Margaret River from November 27 – 9 December, 2006 and was very popular. All performances were to full houses. Second Tour - Hobart, Busselton In April 2007 in a second production the Play was performed at the Margaret River Cultural Centre for two performances, at the request of the Margaret River Art’s Council. The cast remained the same but with a replacement waiter, David Stein. The troupe then travelled to Hobart, Tasmania, and performed over two weeks at Mure’s Upper Deck Restaurant, on Victoria Docks, as a part of the Hobart Fringe Festival. This season was completed on the return to Perth by a performance to a full house at The Goose Restaurant in Busselton. Fancy Fare had its third season playing at various Perth Restaurants from 27 September to 11 October 2008. The cast again remained the same but with a further waiter, Craig Flintoff cast (as David Stein was required to move to the Northwest with his employment). Of the 10 performances, 7 were to full houses. Over the three seasons Fancy Fare has now completed 25 performances in 15 venues and had an attendance rate of 90% capacity in W.A. July - August 2010 Perth season Fancy Fare hit the road again in Perth's leading restaurants in July and August 2010 for another hilarious season.
